OUR STORY

Siraha is one of the least developed districts of Nepal and does not have many health and educational facilities. Siraha District is ranked  11th  among 75 districts of the country in terms of having the highest Human Poverty Index (HPI) and in terms of Human Development Indicators it is in the 13th lowest position. In terms of Per Capita Income (PCI) Siraha is 12th lowest.  Most people of the region are involved in the agricultural sector and health awareness is poor.

There are some private hospitals in Lahan nearby  our project area but the main problem people are facing is non-affordable health care services because the medical bills on such hospitals exceeds the income of majority of the population and another major drawback is lack of social and health awareness .

We want to ensure a basic health care services for poor community in the surrounding area.Early diagnosis and referral of necessary patients  and prevention of communicable diseases. We conduct several school health programs and establish a health club in every surrounding community school and engage students and educate them for a healthy life style and building a healthy community .

WHO ARE WE?

Bastipur Grameen Swasthya Kendra (BGSK) is a non profit sharing social organization founded on October 2017 by a team of young aspiring doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, social workers and local community people.

BGSK has registered with company registrar act and with social welfare council of Nepal.
 
The main objective of BGSK is to provide comprehensive health care facility to poor and downtrodden community especially focusing on preventive medicine and addressing the prevalent disease process in the community.
